(사)한국화장실문화협회는 5월12일치 보도자료에서 “한국화장실문화협회는 화장실환경관리사 지도교육강사 1급 자격증을 수여하는 행사를 가졌다”고 전하고 “5월 12일 중립종합사회복지관에서 열린  행사는 한국화장실연구소 조의현 소장이 화장실환경관리사 지도교육강사 1급 자격증을 11명에게 수여했다. 이로써 대한민국에서 최초로 화장실 환경관리사를 배출할 수 있는 토대가 마련된 것”이라고 밝혔다.
